Are there any special preparations for my first appointment?
The Kinky Cultivation New and Returning Guests
Please arrive with your hair in your best wash and go styling or loose and out. Hair should be dry and free of heavy oils/butters/products. Ideally hair should be styled at least 2 days prior to appt. Do not arrive with any twists, braids or ponytails. Any excessive detangling greater than 15 mins will be charged a detangling fee of $50 per 30 mins. For all first time curly/coily/kinky clients you are encouraged to walk with any of your current products. Once your appointment is booked please refrain from applying any oils to your hair and scalp any Hair with excessive build up requiring more than 2 detox shampoos with be charged $25 for “Extreme Detox”
All Other Guests
Please arrive with dry hair, with no excessive build up. If you are just coming out of a long term style ( any style kept in greater than 30 days) make sure that you have detangled and removed the build up. Otherwise if you would like for your stylist to do this for you, then please add on “previous style removal” when you book your appointment so that the allotted time is booked.
What should I expect during my appointment?
You can expect prompt and efficient services. Your service will begin with a Consultation, then progress to the Shampoo Area for cleansing, detangling, conditioning and treatments. Most of your styling will be completed at the Styling Station and finally a personalized regimen from products to homecare maintenance will be discussed.
Do you service children?
We love children however, any child being serviced must be able to sit unassisted in the shampoo chair. If your child begins to cry and becomes unconsolable and the service can not continue, A your child may not be ready for the salon and B, you will need to rebook and you will be charged half of the service price.
I dont see a pricing for “children”
We base our pricing on hair services, not the age of those being serviced. Please also note that pricing is subject to change with out any notice. All listed prices are starting prices and any increases will be discussed. A far as general styling we have a section based on age either Little or Young Curlfriend based on their appropriate age.
Can I bring my children/additional guests?
Unless that child is being serviced, children are not allowed in the salon without someone else to supervise them. This does not apply to our Bridal Guests.
Where to Park?
SALON-Please park to the rear of the building and enter through the front. If the lot is full there is FREE street parking in front of and on the side streets as well.
Im running late, what should I do?
Once you identify that you will be late for your appointment, kindly call us at 201-571-0763. All appointments are given at 15 min grace window. After 15 mins, you will be charged at late fee of $25 and it is at the discretion of The Texture Specialist whether your appointment can be carried out or needs to be rescheduled.
I need to cancel/reschedule my appointment
All appointment cancellations can be completed online via the booking app and can be done so within 48 hours. Once you are past that window any further booking adjustments with be charged a “Late Cancellation” and you will be charged $50 per service. “No Show” guests will be blocked from booking any additional services with the salon, unless they pay $50 per service booked prior to being able to rebook. We understand that “Life Happens” and if Life is happening just give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate you. It is completely up to the discretion of the stylist if your service can still be accommodated in their schedule.
What if I am not satisfied with my service?
We at DSimone Artistry pride ourselves in providing outstanding service both technically and professionally. If for any reason you notice any technical issues with your service please contact management within 24 hours via email (hello@dsimoneartistry.com), for any adjustments or restyles. Restyles are to be completed within 7 days. Notification past 24 hours will not be honored. Services are nonrefundable.
